ABSTRACT Here the theory by Paul Ricour is only for connecting because the title of this research is the content of tasawwuf in the novel Hayy bin Yaqdzan that requires interpretation regarding tasawwuf, then the theory of hermeneutics is needed in doing the analysis. In this occasion the researcher tried to analyze a familiar novel. According to the researcher this novel is very interesting when it is analyzed using the theory of hermeneutics by Paul Ricour because there are many sentences in this novel that have the high value of philosophy. This novel also pointed us to the philosophical tasawwuf because of its story about the searching for the creator with the thought of philosophy. The researcher presented two main research problems. First, sentences containing tasawwuf. Second the meaning of a sentences containing tasawwuf. While the purpose of the formulation of this problem is related to the formulation of the problem. The researcher used the theory of hermeneutics with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources were obtained from literature review and the novel Hayy bin Yaqdzan which then collected by using documentary method and analyzed by using content analysis. The results show that there are many sentences in this novel which are containing tasawuf, Thought of philosophy that refers to the deity as "the phase of resembling al wajib that there must be", in this case, the phrase al wajib means the creator, in this phase Hayy will implement musyahadah until he can sink themselves intact, and everything will disappear except al-haqq, in the Islamic religion, this phase is included in the phase of the highest knowledge of mysticism. ABSTRAK Disini teori Paul Ricour hanya menjembatani karena judul penelitiannya ialah kandungan tasawwuf yang dalam novel hayy bin yaqdzan yang membutuhkan penafsiran mengenai tasawwuf, maka di dalam meneliti membutuhkan teori-teori hermeneutika. Dalam kesempatan ini peneliti ingin meneliti sebuah novel yang tidak asing lagi. Menurut peneliti novel ini sangat menarik kalau dikaji dengan menggunakan teori hermeneutika Paul Ricour karena dalam novel ini terdapat kalimat kalimat yang mempunyai nilai filsafat tinggi, novel ini juga berujung pada tasawwuf falsafi karena jalan cerita mengenai pencarian sang pencipta dengan pemikiran filsafat. Peneliti menghadirkan dua rumusan masalah, pertama, kalimat yang mengandung tasawwuf. Kedua makna kalimat yang mengandung tasawwuf. Dan tujuan rumusan masalah ini adalah yang berhubungan dengan rumusan masalah. Peneliti menggunakan metedologi deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori hermeneutika. dan Data yang diperoleh menggunakan kajian pustaka dan menggunakan sumber data novel hayy bin yaqdzan kemudian dikumpulkan dengan metode dokumenter dan dianalisis dengan analisis konten. Adapun hasil dari peneliti ini adalah dalam novel tersebut banyak kalimat yang mengandung tasawwuf, Pemikiran filosofi yang mengacu pada ketuhanan seperti ?tahap menyerupai al wajib yang wajib ada?, dalam kalimat tersebut al wajib adalah sang pencipta, dalam tahap ini hayy akan melaksanakan musyahadah secara utuh hingga ia dapat meneggelamkan diri secara utuh, dan semuanya akan sirna yang tersisa hanya al-haqq, dalam agama islam, tahap ini masuk dalam tahap makrifat
