ABSTRACT Reading and writing poetry need a braveness and habitual. The lack of the braveness in reading and writing poetry make the students is not maximal in the learning process. To solve this problem is needed appropriate method. Therefore, in this research the researcher using musical method with movie maker media. It is a learning method in lesson Indonesian language which has a technique to read poetry with musical accompaniment both simply or complicated. This is appropriate with poetry learning which basicly exercise the students to be brave in reading and writing poetry. The purposes of this research are; the first is to describe the learning process of reading and writing poetry using method of musical and movie maker media of class III-B in Islamic elementary school of Khodijah Malang. The second is to describe the learning implementation of reading and writing poetry using method of musical and movie maker media of class III-B in Islamic elementary school of Khodijah Malang. The last is to describe the learning evaluation of reading and writing poetry using method of musical and movie maker media of class III-B in Islamic elementary school of Khodijah Malang. This research was designed by using descriptive qualitative method with the kind of classroom action research. It consists of two cycle?s research. The research instrument of this research is the researcher itself and Indonesian teacher. The technique of collecting data is interview, questionnaire and date. There are some results of this research. First, the planning of learning using musical method and movie maker media has an improvement in cycle two. Second, the process of learning using musical method is good for students, because the students felt happy in the learning process. The last, the process of increasing ability of reading and writing poetry in the first meeting (pre-test) is less. The average score of reading is 58, 42 and the average score of writing is 59, 50. In the cycle 1, the student ability is more increasing; the average score of reading 62.66 and the average score of writing is 62.88. And the last cycle, the student ability is better than before, that is 81.81 for reading and 73.10 for writing poetry. ABSTRAK Membaca dan menulis puisi membutuhkan keberanian dan kebiasaaan. Kurangnya keberanian dalam membaca dan menulis puisi menyebabkan siswa tidak menerima pembelajaran dengan maksimal. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan metode yang tepat. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan meode musikalisasi berbantuan media movie maker, yakni, sebuah metode pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang merupakan teknik pembacaan puisi dengan iringan musik baik sederhana ataupun rumit. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan pembelajaran puisi yang pada dasarnya melatih siswa untuk berani membaca dan menulis puisi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mengetahui proses penerapan metode musikalisasi berbantuan media movie maker untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis puisi pada siswa kelas III-B Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Khodijah Malang, (2) mengetahui proses pelaksanaan metode musikalisasi berbantuan media movie maker untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis puisi pada siswa kelas III-B Mad
