ABSTRACT The implementation of curriculum 2013 is to improve and enhance the quality of education. It is embodied in the learning process. one of the learning processes is using a scientific approach that emphasizes on the learning using scientific steps. They are used to build knowledge through scientific method with a scientific approach. The learning process with a scientific approach is useful for students to be more independent, active and creative in solving problems. As a result there will be increasing and balance between the ability to be a good man (soft skills) and to be a man who has the skills and knowledge to live a decent (hard skills) . It includes aspects of attitude competence, skill competence and knowledge competence. The objectives of this study are; 1) To explain the significant influence of the implementation of Curriculum 2013 on student learning outcomes in Sociology subject at the class X second semester of state senior high school 01 Batu; 2) To explain the factors that affect the implementation of Curriculum 2013 on student learning outcomes in Sociology subject at the class X second semester of state senior high school 01 Batu. The method used in this research is quantitative approach with descriptive methods. In collecting data the reseacher prepared some instruments. They are questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression to test the linearity and normality to measure how big the influence of some independent variables on the dependent variable. From this study the writer conclude that there is a significant relationship between the implementation of Curriculum 2013 and student learning outcomes in Sociology subject at the class X second semester of state senior high school 01 Batu with a coefficient of determination (R ²) from the calculation of SPSS 13.0 for Windows is known for 0.823 or 82.3%. This figure gives the sense that the independent variable (planning, implementation and assessment of learning) has contributed or influenced for 82.3% of the student learning outcomes. Whereas 17.7% of student learning outcomes are influenced by other variables outside the research. ABSTRAK Penerapan Kurikulum 2013 memperbaiki dan meningkatkan mutu pendidikan yang terwujud dalam proses pembelajaran yang salah satunya dengan pendekatan saintifik yang menekankan pada pembelajaran yang mengadopsi langkah-langkah saintis dalam membangun pengetahuan melalui metode ilmiah dengan pendekatan saintifik. Proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik bermanfaat bagi siswa untuk lebih mandiri, aktif dan kreatif dalam memecahkan masalah. Pada hasilnya akan ada peningkatan dan keseimbangan antara kemampuan untuk menjadi manusia yang baik (soft skills) dan manusia yang memiliki kecakapan dan pengetahuan untuk hidup secara layak (hard skills) dari anak didik yang meliputi aspek kompetensi sikap, keterampilan dan pengetahuan. Adapun tujuan yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah; 1) Untuk menjelaskan pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerapan Kurikulum 2013 terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sosiologi kelas X Semester Genap di SMA Negeri 01 Batu; 2) Untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang mempengaru
