ABSTRACT Character education is a perfomance of a system of coaching and self formation to create a personal figure that will bring society to a good and justice,which in it implanted the values of characters in order to form insan kamil. ATD is a children with physical disabilities but have normal mental. They tend to close themselves and often worry about his condition in facing the environment. With character education is expected ATD able to become a tough person and can face the environment with confidence. The purpose in writing this thesis is (1) Describe the PAI?s learning implementation in shaping the character of a child with a Quadriplegic in State Special Need School of Batu. (2) Describe the implications of character formation of a child with a Quadriplegic in State Special Need School of Batu. (3) Describe the obstacles and solutions of PAI?s Teacher in shaping the character of a child with a Quadriplegic in State Special Need School of Batu. This research uses qualitative approach with method of collecting data, field observation, interview and documentation study. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis which includes data reduction, data display and draw conclusion. The results showed that, (1) PAI?s learning implementation in shaping the ATD?s character in State Special Need School of Batu there 2, First is learning implementation in class start from assessment, planing, implementation and evaluation. Second is learning implementation in outside which includes dhuhur prayer, Friday prayer, honesty canteen, love the environment and the depiction of Mushaf Al-Quran by difable. (2) The implication of character formation of a child with a Quadriplegic by PAI?s Teacher in State Special Need School of Batu is the existence of religious character, honest, independent, social care, discipline, reading, environment care and hard work. (3) Obstacles and solutions of PAI?s Teacher in shaping ATD?s character in State Special Need School of Batu is left, multiple flaws, age factor, ATD is rigid, in addition to religious teachers, other teachers do not want to give examples ofprayer. The Solution is the painstaking teacher accustoms ATD with the right hand, vowel therapy, cultivate mutual help of friends, giving rewards and motivation, there is a reprimand from the principal for teachers who have not congregated dhuhur prayer ABSTRAK Pendidikan karakter merupakan suatu kinerja dari sebuah sistem pembinaan dan pembentukan diri untuk menciptakan sosok pribadi yang akan membawa masyarakat pada suatu kebaikan dan keadilan, yang didalamnya ditanamkan nilai-nilai karakter guna membentuk insan kamil. ATD adalah anak dengan kondisi cacat fisik tetapi memiliki mental yang normal. Mereka cenderung menutup diri dan sering merasa khawatir akan kondisinya dalam menghadapi lingkungan sekitar. Dengan pendidikan karakter diharapkan ATD mampu menjadi pribadi yang tangguh dan bisa menghadapi lingkungan dengan percaya diri.
