ABSTRACT Character education is the process of guiding learners to be human who have good character in the dimensions of heart, mind, body, taste, and intention. Character education is one of the strongholds and is considered the best solution to cultivate and improve the moral and character of the nation that is influenced by the rapid development of globalization era. In Islam, character education has been applied since in the early childhood, some of which are duha and dhuhr prayers. Character cultivation through duha and dhuhr prayer activities is a starting point in applying character education to overcome moral degradation and character in the mindset and behavior of students. The objectives of this study were: (1) to identify the character values in duha prayer and dhuhr prayer in congregation, (2) to observe the process of duha and dhuhr prayer in congregation programs implemented at MA Shirotul Fuqoha ', and (3) to know the effort to preserve the character values in Madrasah Aliyah Shirothul Fuqoha'. In this study, the researcher used descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection technique included 3 ways, namely: interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of the study shows that: (1) The value of the characters in the duha and dhuhr prayer is to ease the sustenance, improve students? spirit, ease to organize the students, togetherness, discipline, responsible, endeavor, emphasize practice, foster privileges, devoted to parents, independent, syiar, beginning of action, practice, religion, values of aswaja, and morality value. (2) The process of planting the values of characters using the method of habituation, exemplary methods, and methods of reward and punishment, while the implementation of dhuha prayer program were preparation (wudlu and forming shaf), praying dhuha, praying together, reading asmaul husna and short letters, and shaking hands. The process of dhuhur prayer program were preparation (wudlu), praying sunnah, praying dhuhr, dhikr, and praying sunnah. (3) The effort to preserve the character values of the Madrasah Aliyah Shirotul Fuqoha' was by tadzkirah method that is inserting the values in madrasah activities in the classroom, outside the classroom, the madrasah environment, and the surrounding community. The activities include praying, giving religious lessons, daily examination, examination, peer assessment, presentation, presence, duties, sanctions, going home on time, making creative things, wall magazine, workshop, ceremony every Monday, national day commemoration, library procurement, environmental cleaning, and social service. ABSTRAK Pendidikan karakter adalah proses pemberian tuntunan kepada peserta didik untuk menjadi manusia seutuhnya yang berkarakter
