Good mastery of vocabulary will help a person in communicating, writing, speaking, understanding the text and listening. There are several methods, strategies, and models of vocabulary learning. In vocabulary learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki of Malang, researcher founds some problems. Among them, 1) Students is bored with the methods used by teachers. 2) Students find difficulties in understanding the text. 3) Students are less confident in the answer questions from teachers. Thus, researcher wants to apply the snowball throwing method to resolve the problems. As for snowball throwing method is like game. Therefore, students will be happy and interested for learning is going. The research question of this study are, 1) how are the processes of Vocabulary learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki of Malang, 2) how are the processes of method snowball throwing using to improve the mastery of vocabulary in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki of Malang, 3) how is the effectifiness of method snowball throwing using to improve the mastery of vocabulary in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki of Malang. This study uses experimental research with quantitative approach. This study uses two classes, namely one experimental class (get the application snowball throwing method), and one control class (without using the snowball throwing method). To method of collecting data, the researcher uses observation, interview, test and documentation. Last, the analysis of data uses statistical analysis of inferential in the form of T-test. This study indicates that the results of t arithmetic were 3.92 t greater significance 2,46 = 1.70 = 1% and 5%, it indicates that the results of t-test is accepted. Use of snowball throwing method to improve the vocabulary mastery in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki of Malang is very effective. ABSTRAK Mufrodat merupakan salah satu unsur bahasa. Penguasaan mufrodat yang baik akan membantu seseorang dalam berkomunikasi, menulis, berbicara, memahami teks dan mendengar. Ada beberapa metode, strategi, dan model pembelajaran mufrodat. Dalam pembelajaran mufrodat di MI Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki Malang, peneliti menemukan beberapa masalah. Diantaranya, 1) Siswa merasa bosan dengan metode yang digunakan guru. 2) Siswa merasa kesulitan dalam memahami teks. 3) Siswa kurang percaya diri dalam menjawab pertanyaan dari guru. Maka, peneliti ingin menerapkan metode snowball throwing untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Adapun metode snowball throwing tersebut seperti permaianan. Jadi, siswa akan merasa senang dan tertarik selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah, adalah 1) bagaimana proses pembelajaran Mufrodat di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki Malang?.2) bagaimana proses penggunaan metode snowball throwing untuk meningkatkan penguasaan mufrodat di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki Malang?. 3) bagaimana efektifitas penggunaan metode snowball throwing untuk meningkatkan penguasaan mufrodat di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sunan Kalijogo Karang Besuki Malang?. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dan penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas, yaitu satu kelas eksperimen (mendapatkan penerapan metode snowball throwing), dan satu kelas kontro
