ABSTRACT A tradition that became a hallmark of a region that is in the territory of Indonesia, is a potential that should be conserved and developed by the next generation. The tradition of petekan, is the idea of thinking the villagers Ngadas Sub Poncokusumo Malang are realized with a ritual related adolescent women and also women who already holds the status of a widow to her uterus, checked there is a fetus or not in it. So presumably, very important when examining more deeply about this tradition of petekan in terms of keislamannya to deepen the faith of Muslim citizens in the region as well as the development of Islamic sciences for society at large. The focus of this research are as follows: (1) Why the villagers perceived tradition of Ngadas petekan, and (2) how the process of implementation of the petekan tradition in the village of Ngadas sub-district of Malang Poncokusumo. Research carried out in Ngadas, district Poncokusumo, Malang. This research includes qualitative, descriptive data collection is done using the method of observation, documentation, and interviews. Then the data that has been collected in the form of words analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Research and discussion of the results obtained the following conclusions: (1) the implementation of the petekan tradition in the community of the village of Ngadas as a sense of concern against the Association and the existence of fornication. This tradition is carried out in order to prevent the existence of a disaster and the strange disease outbreaks that can appear in the village of Ngadas due to the pregnant outside of marriage. And (2) this event is held by the people of the village of Ngadas as a tradition with the event check out the womb of the woman's village with memijatkan hands down her womb by Shaman babies simultaneously every 3 months according to which set Pack legen (custom characters). The process of this tradition is a community endeavor in receding from the prohibitions that Allah commanded. In addition as a manifestation of the depth of aqidah warag village Ngadas a Muslim. As well as implementing it to fulfilling social functions that can be used as a social control in the life of society so that the petekan tradition is still maintained until now. As for the values of the existing Islamic education in the tradition of petekan in the village of Ngadas, among others: stay away from fornication, Tolerance, responsibility, Honesty, discipline, Fosters an attitude of Wary (of sanctions), Tighten the rope Friendship, Endeavor, strengthen Familial relationships, and Mandate.
