ABSTRACT The importance of discipline of character education cannot be separated from the emergence of current social phenomena. It is shown by the increasing moral degradation of discipline by young generation in a nation. The implementation of discipline of character education is important to apply to a formal institution supported by good cooperation between learners, educators and teachers. Step taken by educators is through the learning process on the subjects taken, one of them is Sociology. The researcher has formulated the objectives of this study, those are: (1) to describe the implementation process of discipline of character education on the Sociology lesson class X Social department in MAN 1 Malang, (2) to describe the implications of the implementation process of discipline of character education on Sociology class X Social department in MAN 1 Malang. In order to achieve the above objectives, a qualitative research approach in the form of case study is applied. The main instrument is the Sociology teacher of class X of Social department and students of class X from Social department. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. Data are analyzed by reducing irrelevant data, exposing data and drawing conclusions. The results showed, firstly, the implementation process of discipline of character education on the subjects of Sociology class X in Social department MAN 1 Malang uses; the planning stage that is to integrate the lesson plan of Sociology class X Social department with discipline value; the implementation stage that is to implement what has been stated in the lesson plan of Sociology class X through the familiarization of discipline; the evaluation stage that is the assessment of discipline of learners through affective value and model stage by Sociology teacher in the form of time discipline and discipline of uniform use. Secondly, the implication of implementation process of discipline of character education on Sociology class X Social department in MAN 1 Malang is in the form of three correlations; moral knowing in which students have such understanding of the importance of discipline, moral feeling in which students have concern for the value of discipline and then moral action in which students become discipline. ABSTRAK Pentingnya pendidikan karakter disiplin tidak lepas dari munculnya beberapa fenomena sosial saat ini, yang ditunjukkan meningkatnya degradasi moral disiplin oleh sebuah generasi muda pada sebuah bangsa. Penerapan pendidikan karakter disiplin penting diterapkan pada sebuah lembaga formal yang didukung kerjasama antara peserta didik, pendidik dan guru.
