ABSTRACT In the context of education in schools, one of the factors that play an important role in the development religious culture is the active role of the school community, principally how to build a conducive school culture through the development of religious culture in schools. The principal has the greatest contribution and role, in the hands of those policies created and implemented by all the citizens of the school. This study focuses on (1) how the principal steps in the development of religious culture in SMP IT Darul Kamilin bakan (2) How to model the principal's strategy in the development of religious culture in SMP IT Darul Kamilin Bakan (3) How the implications of the development of religious culture against students in SMP IT Darul Kamilin Bakan. This research use qualitative research with case study type. Data collection techniques were conducted with unstructured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed by interactive model consisting of data reduction, display data, and verification. Checking the validity of data is done by improving observational persistence and triangulation. The results of the study show that: (1) Principal steps in the development of religious culture by issuing and establishing policies to carry out religious activities include: (a) Creating a Religious Atmosphere (b) Duha prayer and al-Qur'an echoes, (c) pray together, (d) Zuhur prayers, (e) Activity Religion, and (f) PHBI Activities, (2) The Principal Strategy Model in the Development of Religious Culture by (a) Establishing a policy on Religious Culture, (b) meeting the socialiszation with the students in place, (c) Determination and determination of religious cultural orientation, (d) Lit religious education, (3) Implications of the development of religious culture towards students include: (a) Individual and social religious attitude , (b) Attitude of leadership and independence, (c) Active in religious activities, (d) Discipline, (e) Eager in studying the teachings of religion. ABSTRAK Dalam konteks pendidikan di sekolah, salah satu faktor yang berperan penting dalam pengembangan budaya religius adalah peran aktif komunitas sekolah, terutama kepala sekolah bagaimana membangun budaya sekolah yang kondusif melalui pengembangan budaya religius di sekolah. Kepala sekolah mempunyai andil dan peran terbesar, ditangannyalah kebijakan-kebijakan tersebut dibuat dan dilaksanakan oleh segenap warga sekolah. Penelitian ini terfokus pada (1) Bagaimana langkah-langkah kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan budaya religius di SMP IT Darul Kamilin bakan (2) Bagaimana model strategi kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan budaya religius di SMP IT Darul Kamilin Bakan (3) Bagaimana implikasi pengembangan budaya religius terhadap siswa-siswi di SMP IT Darul Kamilin Bakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara tak terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan model interaktif yang terdiri dari data reduction, data display, dan verification. Pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan meningkatkan ketekunan pengamatan dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Langkah-langkah kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan budaya religiu
