ABSTRACT Orientalism has represented another form of colonialism and imperialism. It is dangerous because it controls by the text, where the nature of mind, behavior, and all human activity are based on. In other words, the text referred here is the overall results produced by human culture. When the textual discourses spread, the colonizer forms the public awareness and constructs their identity, and vice versa, also by text, the colony can also realize and find a means of sharp resistance. The resistance to the discourse of Orientalism appears in the Arrajul Alladzi Amana Bouquet?s novel, a writer from Egypt which is an ex-colony of the European Union. This novel presents a different face of the east from what it has been described in orientalism. From this, the researchers wanted to analyze the form of deconstruction of the discourse of Orientalism and see the pattern of resistance in the novel. By leaning on qualitative descriptive method, the researchers used analysis AJ Greimas?s structural theory as a first step to find contradicts axis (binary opposition) which are used as the basis of the work steps of Jaques Derrida's deconstruction theory to see deconstructive thought forms in the novel, as well as Homi Bhabha?s Postcolonial theory to find the suitability of the novel?s deconstruction in the form of mimicry and hybridist. From the results of structural analysis, researchers found two opposing axes in the novel, which are among the Italians (West) and the people of Dubai (East), their opinions and thoughts produce a form of novel? deconstruction through the eyes of the deconstruction theory which covers; exotic east, forms of religious tolerance, freedom of women, forms of social interaction and lifestyle, and the notion of primitive Bedouin in the East. From the post colonial?s theory all results of the deconstruction analysis of the east has its own advantages in the form of mimicry and hybridists against the West. ABSTRAK Orientalisme telah merepresentasikan bentuk lain dari kolonialisme dan imperialisme. Bahkan orientalisme dianggap lebih berbahaya sebab yang dikuasai adalah teks, di mana alam pikiran, tingkah laku, dan segala aktivitas manusia ada di dalam teks. Dengan kalimat lain, yang dimaksud teks di sini adalah keseluruhan hasil kebudayaan yang dihasilkan oleh manusia. Saat wacana-wacana tekstual yang disebarkannya, pihak kolonial membentuk kesadaran masyarakat jajahan dan sekaligus mengonstruksikan identitasnya, maka begitu sebaliknya, melalui teks pula masyarakat poskolonial mengekspresikan dan menemukan sarana resistensinya yang tajam. Resistensi terhadap wacana orientalisme itu nampak dalam novel Al-Rajul Al-ladzi Amana karya Najib Al-Kailany seorang sastrawan mesir yang merupakan negara bekas jajahan bangsa eropa. Novel ini menyuguhkan wajah lain dari timur yg selama ini digambarkan orientalisme. Dari sinilah peneliti ingin menganalisa bentuk dekonstruksi terhadap wacana orientalisme serta melihat pola resistensi dalam novel tersebut. Dengan bersandar pada metode kualilatif deskriptif, peneliti menggunakan pisau analisis teori stuktural A.J. Greimas sebagai langkah awal untuk menemukan sumbu bertentangan (oposisi biner) yang digunakan sebagai landasan dari langkah kerja teori dekonstruksi Jaques Derrida untuk melihat bentuk-bentuk pemikiran dekontruksif dalam novel, serta teori Postkolonial Homi Bhabha untuk menemukan kesesuaian bentuk dekontru
