Arista Kiswantoro Key words: Career deciding, Information service The background of the research is some students of Grade XI of TKJ of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus have less confidence to decide their career. Therefore the researcher is interested to improve the deciding career’s confidence of the students through information service. Statement of the problem is: Can information service improve the deciding career’s confidence of the students of Grade XI of TKJ of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus in academic year 2012/2013? The purposes of the research: 1. obtained the description of the deciding career’s confidence before and after getting information service. 2. Obtained the improvement of the deciding career’s confidence of the students of Grade XI of TKJ of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus through information service. Utility of the theory: Extend the knowledge contribution for science development, especially for students’ development through information service and referable for the next researcher. Utility of practice: 1. School as the reference does service to improve the deciding career’s confidence of the students. Scope of the research: The deciding career’s confidence and information service. Research Hypothesis: “The usage of information service can improve the deciding career’s confidence of the students of Grade XI of TKJ of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus in academic year 2012/2013â€. The data collection technique uses observation and interview. The data analysis uses qulitative description. The research method is PBTK by two cycle, and every cycle has three meetings. The research variable: X variable (information service), Y variable (to improve the deciding career’s confidence of the students). Subject of the research is 41 students. Based on the observation’s result on 10 aspects of the deciding career’s confidence of the students, shows the average improvement; pre cycle 26,51, cycle I 27,98, and cycle II 30,02. Therefore as the result of the discussion, it can be concluded that information service can improve the deciding career’s confidence of the students of Grade XI of TKJ of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus in academic year 2012/2013. Conclusion: information service can improve the deciding career’s confidence of the students of Grade XI of TKJ of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus in academic year 2012/2013 can be accepted. Suggestion: 1. The Headmaster gives facilities for supporting Guiding and Counseling program. 2. School counselor gives information service related to the confidence and the deciding career of the students intensively as the students’ needed. 3. The teacher helps and motivates the students for planning their career every the end semester. 4. The student has a good confidence and wisdom for deciding career. 5. The next researcher should understand the students’ condition in facing the difficulties related to their problem.
