Abstract :
Industrial development of both services and manufacturing industry is growing very rapidly, companies compete to find the right consumer market. Supervision the product should be implemented as a guarantee to the consumer. So that the products are launched to the market are of good quality. Therefore, companies must constantly improve product quality on an on going basis-to-achieve-corporate-goals. PT. Han Mitra Jaya Pratama is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry by producing shoes. The various brands of shoes that is brick, Ardiles, kasogi, eagle and yastako. In this study the observed product is Product eagle shoes (sport) 2 KW. Given the many industries which neglects the amount of product defects research was conducted using the method of disability identification FTA so that the company can reduce product defects to a minimum. The purpose of this study was to identify product defects and root causes, and analyze the probability so that it can be done using the production control. By using the method of Fault Tree analiysis in analyzing disability happens to the root causes, and then provide suggestions for improvement causative factors of disability-products. The results of this study is the type of defect that has a probability of the calculation, the initial probability of the production process is the hood and do not glue the soles of 9.76%, the probability of both the hood material torn by 7.88%, the probability of occurrence of the three malls the size of which is not right at 6.23%, the probability of occurrence of the four eyes chicken sloppy installation of 4.35% and the probability of the occurrence of defects fifth color of 4.15%.
