Abstract :
This study is based on the phenomenon terdesaknya local arts and culture / arts and culture area by foreigners, it is also supported by at least the mass media such as electronic media that provide information about the local arts and culture. The purpose of the study is to determine how the talk show culture change people's attitudes Surabaya in preserving the art and culture of the region The theory used is the theory S-O-R. The primary data in this study was obtained through a questionnaire. Pertayaan in the questionnaire was developed from the indicator variables X and Y. X and Y variables given the form of closed questions. Quantitative research methods approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, Because the data in the form of Ordinal then to examine the relationship between the two variables used Spearman Rank correlation coefficient. The results of this study indicate there is a low correlation between impressions "Bincang Budaya" in TVRI of East Java with Surabaya public attitude. So conclusions is based on the results of research that Impressions "Bincang Budaya" is not the only cause that makes people motivated to preserve the art and culture of the area. Culture talk shows have a relationship in terms of the preservation of the arts and culture, but "Bincang budaya" less powerfull in benefit to preserve the art and culture of the area.
