Abstract :
This study was based because of increasing drug circulation today, indicated by reports in both print and electronic media where increased drug cases and attack people in the productive age. Rehabilitation is a procedure in which a drug addict undergoing treatment program to change usage behavior, lifestyle and adverse effects of drugs are consumed. By Yudi Kusmayadi, extention associate BNN, communication strategy is the right way to tackle the drug problem. Therapeutic Communication is communication used by experts in the goal of curing a patient. This study was conducted to determine therapeutic communication used inthe treatment of patients addicted to drugs at the ORBIT Foundation Surabaya. This study uses qualitative research methods, data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with informants. Informants in this study were counselors ORBIT Foundation Surabaya. Of the data analysis and discussion, the researcher concluded that healing drug addict patients in ORBIT Foundation using 5 principles of Therapeutic Communication, including respect, sincerity, empathy, trust dan confidentiality.
