Abstract :
One of the most famous fairy tales in the world is Cinderella. Cinderella's fairy tale tells the story of a soft and often abused girl, so helped by a fairy godmother who eventually reunites Cinderella with a prince. In the story, Cinderella comes to the party because of the magical help of the fairy godmother. Cinderella's story does not have a specific value system but has a stable moral value content. The moral content in Cinderella's story may not be consistent for centuries. It is because the power of Cinderella's story is not in its morality but on who is telling the story. This research focuses on the study of the fairy tale by Charles Perrault, which is Cinderella's story. The focus of the problems examined in this study is about Cinderella characters' personality in Cinderella stories and is included in what kind of archetypes the story is. The data are taken from in Cinderella story written by Charles Perrault and focuses on Cinderella?s character. Not all utterances but analyzed only the utterances involving archetype reflected are taken to answer the research problems. Based on the data analysis, the kind of archetype Cinderella story is a great mother. The great mother and the wise old man are two other archetypes derived from anima and animus.
