Abstract :
Background The SAMSAT Gresik Joint Office has not fully met the
established policies because it has not implemented a Monte Carlo simulation
system that allows managers to modify existing policies.
The problems that occur are long queues caused by uncertain service times
and random arrivals so that waiting times experienced by customers are getting
longer.
The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal number of annual and
five-year tax payment officers using the Monte Carlo simulation method. To
overcome the queuing problem, it is done by using the Monte Carlo simulation
method.
The results of this study found the average waiting time for annual tax
payments was 22.5479 ? 23 minutes with an average utility level of 81.23% and
the queue length of 2.33863 ? 3 people. As for the five-year tax payment, the
average waiting time was 42.85366 ? 43 minutes with an average utility level of
91.38% and the queue length of 4.55057 ? 5 people. Based on the waiting time
that has been obtained, it can be seen that the optimal number of service officers
is 3 service officers for annual tax payments and 2 service officers for five-year
tax payments.
