Abstract :
The onion is a commodity that is very much needed but is not offset by
decreased production due to the attack of moler disease by Fusarium oxysporum.
The use of fusaric acid as an ingredient in the development of Fusarium
oxysporum resistant seeds is widely carried out but high prices and difficulty in
obtaining fusaric acid, an alternative to fusaric acid is needed. Fusaric acid is a
toxin from Fusarium oxysporum, so Fusarium oxysporum culture in liquid Potato
Dextrose media is suspected to have fusaric acid produced in the breeding
process in the media and can be used as an alternative to fusaric acid in the form
of crude extract. The results showed that fusaric acid and crude extracts of
Fusarium oxysporum showed no significant differences in the variables of
observations in terms of damage and production of plants. This shows that the
crude extract of Fusarium oxysporum can be used as an alternative to fusaric
acid but needs to analyze the contents of the crude extract.
