A Thesis, Department of English Literature, Undergraduate Program of University of Stikubank (UNISBANK) Semarang. Supervisor: Yulistiyanti, S.S., M.Hum. This study applies the feminism theory by Simone De Beauvoir, according to her book entitled The Second Sex, to analyze political discrimination towards women in Suffragette (2015) film. The film describes women?s struggle for their rights in the 20th century in the United Kingdom. The method used in the study is qualitative research methods and focuses on feminism as the approach. This study has three objectives; first, to describe the causes of political discrimination; second, to describe the reflections of political discrimination and third, to describe the impacts of political discrimination in Suffragette films. From the data collected and analyzed, the researcher concludes that there are three causes of political discrimination in the film: societal stigma, dominant subject and government policy. The reflections of political discrimination in the film are divided into five: in parliament, in the workplace, in family life, in prison and in Mrs. Pankhurst?s Opinion. The impacts of political discrimination in the film are internal impact and external impact.
