Abstract :
Pharmacy department at Jati Husada Hospital can not avoid the effects of tight
business competition, so it needs to improve the services quality continuously. Jati
Husada hospital include in type D of hospitals it needs to do research to find the
right strategy to improving the service quality for hospitalization.
This research was a nonexperimental descriptive study, with qualitative and
quantitative data. Data is collected with 80 respondents of sampel as the research
and data collection techniques performed by simple random sampling. The
internal and external environments were analyzed, followed by SWOT (Strenghts,
Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis. The result was used as the
basis for the formulation of strategies for the development of Jati Husada
Hospital.
The results showed that the pharmacy department pharmacy of Jati Husada
Hospital had bigger strength (with total score = 1,44) than weakness (with total
sore = 1,12), and had a bigger opportunity (with total score = 1,65) than threat
(with total sore 1,06). The priority of alternative strategy is to support the
aggressive growth that includes an increase the human resources in IFRS,
following the national accreditation, formed a partnership with the governments
and other hospitals, and separating IFRS between outpatient and inpatient care.
