Abstract :
Milkfish fish is one of the fish that is cultivated in Tanjung Emas port of
Semarang. Heavy metal of lead is found in marine biota such as
milkfish.Belimbing wuluh is a chelator agent that can reduce the lead content in
fish because it has the content of citric acid. This study aims to determine the
effect of long immersion of milkfish (Chanos chanos) In Starfruit Juice (Averrhoa
bilimbi L.) to Pb level.
This research uses experimental analytical research done in Chemical
Laboratory Faculty of Environmental Engineering UNDIP and Analytical
Chemistry Laboratory Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNNES. The
time of study in March 2018 to June 2018 using Quota Sampling technique.
Samples of milkfish were soaked in starfruit juice concentration 50% with
immersion time 0, 15, 30, and 45 minutes later in wet dry destruction. Decreased
Pb levels were examined with an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer.
The results of milkfish examination after immersion with variations of
immersion duration of 0, 15, 30 and 45 minutes were 14,197 ppm; 11,940 ppm;
10,090 ppm and 9,890 ppm. Based on the test of linear line equation can be
concluded that there is a very strong significant influence (R2 = 0.9058) between
the duration of milkfish immersion to lead levels.
There was significant influence with the duration of immersion starfruit juice
to the decrease of Pb level immersioned for 45 minutes.
