Abstract :
Good precision and accuracy of laboratory test is highly dependent on the
process of sample handling, including the storage of serum uric acid inspection
sample. This study aims to determine whether there is effect of storage time on
serum uric acid level of 72 hours storage at a temperature of 2 ? 80 C.
The conducted research is Experimental with Post Test With Control. The
sampling technique was done with total sampling, 27 respondents of C9 STIKES
Nasional regular students as population.
The result showed that 93% increased and 7% decreased on samples examined
after 72 hours delay at 2 - 80 C, with ? value applied was ? = (0,05), p value obtained
is p value < ? (0,05).
Based on the research result, p value obtained compared with ? value applied
? = (0,05), got value p value 0,000 (p < 0,05), hence can be concluded H0 rejected
and H1 accepted, there is effect on storage time to uric acid levels.
