The advantage of Gram staining is that it has a high specificity sensitivity, can be stored for re-examination. While the advantages of LPCB staining are quick and easy to do, other advantages can be seen from the composition. The color produced after painting with LPCB is fungus that appears blue. Unlike the Gram staining of the structure of the fungus that is done when painting LPCB is more complete, namely blastospores, pseudohifa and klamidospora.
