Abstract :
Ticks are an of the ectoparasite parasites, namely organisms that lives
parasitically on the outside of their host body, for example skin, hair, and
nails. The efforts to reduce the use of synthetic anti-ectoparasite chemicals need
to be tried by using natural ingredients around us, where the natural ingredients
of plant have good potential to be developed as a natural anti-ectoparasite. The
natural ingredients used in this study are tuba roots, red betel leaves, tobacco
leaves, and soursop leaves. The purpose of this study was to determine the
effectiveness of natural substances on tick mortality.
This research method using type research study literature. Data collection
using secondary data. The source is taken in relation to the effect of natural
substances on tick mortality. Source-the source is obtained from scientific
papers and journal.
In this research, the tuba roots and red betel leaves were carried out using
sample of 10 ticks. The results of LC values are 1.50% and 5.4%, respectively.
For soursop leaves and tobacco leaves using a sample of 5 ticks, the LC values
were 0.12% and 11.5%, respectively.
Based on the LC value, it can be concluded that soursop leaves have an
effective effect on tick mortality with a value of 0.12%.
