Abstract :
Carbon monoxide (CO) gas is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, nonirritating, flammable and highly toxic gas, and does not dissolve in water. Carbon
monoxide is exposed to the body, binds to hemoglobin and inhibits oxygen to
form carboxyhemoglobin. This study aims to determine carboxyhemoglobin
levels in online motorcycle taxi drivers (GO-JEK) in Surakarta with the conway
diffusion cell method.
This research is a descriptive study with a quota sampling sampling
technique and the analysis used is a simple linear regression test. The subjects of
this study were 6 respondents drawn from the population in accordance with
specified criteria. Examination of COHb levels in the conway diffusion cell
method uses a UV-VIS spectrophotometer.
The results showed that carboxyhemoglobin levels were between 0.49%
-0.58% of the 6 respondents. Linear Regression Line obtained Y = 0.3892x +
0.0146 at a wavelength of 451.0 nm with operating time at 60-120 minutes.
The conclusion in this study is the value of carboxyhemoglobin levels in
the blood of Ojek Online Drivers is still below the Republic of Indonesia Minister
of Health's number 70 of 2016 which is no more than 3.5%.
