Abstract :
Hospital is a building that is used as a gathering place for all kinds of diseases,
especially in the treatment room. So it is very easy to cause adverse effects such as
nosocomial infections. Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia No. 1204 / MENKES / SK /
X / 2004 has set some standard number of germs in the hospital treatment room. The number
of germs has been studied, includes air and floor germ counts, therefore it is necessary to
know how the history of germ numbers and eligibility in hospital treatment rooms in
Semarang and Yogyakarta.
This study used a literature study method which is conducted using research results
that have or have not been published. Data collected by searching for things or variables in
journals, transcripts, and books relating to the number of germs in hospital treatment rooms
in Semarang and Yogyakarta from 2015-2017. This literature study used 3 sources of
literature as a basis for reference.
Based on the 3 literature sources, it was revealed that 9 samples from hospital
treatment rooms in Yogyakarta and Semarang met the criteria of Ministry of Health
Republic of Indonesia No. 1204 / MENKES / SK / X / 2004. Two other samples that found in
Semarang had a number of germs that exceeded the standard, so that it did not met the
criteria of RI Health Ministry standards.
So from this study, it can be concluded that 9 hospital treatment rooms in Semarang
and Yogyakarta are feasible to be used, while samples from 2 other hospital treatment rooms
are not suitable for patient care activities, according to the established Ministry of Health?s
standards namely Ministry of Health Republic of Indoneisa No. 1204 / MENKES / SK / X /
2004.
