Abstract :
Background: Heart and blood vessel disease can be used a condition called
hypertriglyceridemia. Hypertriglyceridemia is a condition in which triglyceride
levels in the blood are more than normal. Triglyceride levels in the blood are
influenced by fat intake and carbohydrates. Oyster mushroom contains beta
glucan which is a water soluble fiber that can reduce triglyceride levels. This
study discusses to determine triglyceride levels before and helps white oyster
mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) to cadre of PKK in Danukusuman..
Method: This type of research is experimental analytic with a pretest and posttest
research design without control. The triglyceride examination method used is the
colorimetric Enzymatic method (GPO-PAP) using a RAL Clima MC-15
photometer. This study aims to determine of November-December 2019. The
number of research samples were 30 respondents with the sampling technique
used was purposive sampling.
Results: Data checking for triglycerides were analyzed using a computer with
SPSS for Windows 20. The results of this study obtained normality test for
abnormal distribution (p) <0.05. The statistical test used was the Mann-Whitney
test, the results obtained were not significant p (0.165)> 0.05. So it can be
concluded that there were no triglyceride levels before and after administration of
white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) to cadres PKK in Danukusuman.
