Abstract :
Additional ingredients are ingredients that are deliberately added to food
and drinks to get better quality. One example of a food additive is aspartame
sweetener. The use of aspartame is permitted in a beverage product ingredient.
Bubble drinks have not been tested for official food additives from BPOM.
BPOM sets the ADI aspartame dose in Indonesia to 50 mg/kgW. Excessive
aspartame content can cause health problems. This study aims to determine
whether there is aspartame content in bubble drink drinks in Surakarta.
This type of research is experimental. The sample in this study used a
sample of bubble drink in 5 districts of Surakarta, amounting to 25 samples. The
sample reader uses the aspartame rapid test.
The results about the study of 25 samples showed 18 out of 25 bubble
drink samples positive containing artificial sweeteners of aspartame, while 7 out
of 25 samples were negative
