Abstract :
Cirrhosis of the liver is scar tissue (fibrosis) in the liver as a result of
chronic liver damage that is irreversible, and is characterized by the replacement of
normal tissue with fibrous tissue so that the liver cells will lose their function.
Mortality due to cirrhosis of the liver is still relatively high in Indonesia. This study
aims to determine the description of prescribing patterns in patients with liver
cirrhosis in RSUP dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten. This research is a nonexperimental research. Retrospective data collection and analyzed descriptively.
The sampling technique used was "purposive sampling" and 66 data were obtained
that met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that the use of drugs in patients
with liver cirrhosis in RSUP dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten used 8 classes of drug
therapy, with the most results, namely cardiovascular system drugs as much as
37.74%; gastrointestinal drugs as much as 27.24%; and hepatoprotective drugs
10.12%. The highest yields for this type of drug were spironolactone as much as
17.51%, and omeprazole as much as 12.84%.
