Abstract :
The National Formulary is a list of selected drugs that become a reference
in the National Health Insurance service to facilitate doctors in writing
prescriptions, but in reality there are still many doctors writing prescriptions not in
accordance with the National Formulary. This study aims to determine the
suitability of outpatient JKN drug prescribing to the National Formulary based on
the therapeutic class and the suitability of the non-National Formulary drug
prescribing to Dr. Oen Solo Baru Hospital?s Formulary in the Outpatient
Pharmacy Installation Dr. Oen Solo Baru in October to December 2019. This
research is a non-experimental research that is descriptive in nature using 395
sample recipe sheets. The results of the study showed that the suitability of JKN
patients' medicine prescribing to the National Formulary was based on the
therapeutic class at Dr. Oen Solo Baru Hospital period from October to December
2019 as many as 788 items (80.08%) according to National Formulary and 196
items (19.92%) were not appropriate. Of the 196 items of drugs that are not in
accordance with National Formulary, as many as 191 items of drugs (97.44%)
were in accordance with the Formulary Hospital for JKN patients and 5 items of
medicine (2.56%) used the Formulary Hospital for general patients.
