Abstract :
Hepatitis B attacks all ages and races throughout the world. Hepatitis B can attack
with or without hepatitis symptoms. The high rate of hepatitis B infection and the
death rate due to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma can be attributed to the
low success rate of therapy for hepatitis B patients. This study aims to determine
the characteristics and prescribing patterns in hepatitis B patients in RSUP Dr.
Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten by looking at medical record data. This research is a
non-experimental descriptive study using retrospective data collection techniques.
Data was collected in January-December 2019. The results of the study were
described descriptively and presented in tabular / percentage form. The most cases
are patients aged 46-55 years as much as 28.26%, the most sex is male as much as
60.87% where the most accompanying disease is liver cirrhosis. The highest
number of sucralfate gastrointestinal drugs use is 12.65%, the most central
nervous system drugs are ondansetron as much as 7.35%, the most analgesic
drugs are paracetamol as much as 6.12%, the most hepatoprotector drugs are
curcuma as much as 22.45%, the most antiviral drugs are tenovofir 10.61%
