Abstract :
Hepatitis is an infectious disease caused by the hepatitis virus that causes
inflammation of the liver which can develop into fibrosis (scar tissue), cirrhosis or
liver cancer. The prevalence of hepatitis in 2018 in Central Java has increased by
0.3%. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of drug use in
hepatitis patients which includes the characteristics and use of inpatient drugs at
the General HospitalDr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten. This study is a nonexperimental study with a descriptive analysis design by collecting patient data
information through the patient's medical record sheet in the 2018 period. The
parameters used are the percentage of characteristics in patients diagnosed with
hepatitis including age, sex, type of hepatitis and types of comorbidities and
description of the use of drugs in patients with hepatitis which includes the type of
drug as well as the type of infusion fluid used. This study shows that the
percentage based on the age of the patient is in the adult age of 46-55 years
(34.5%), the highest percentage of sex is in men (74.5%), the highest percentage
of types of hepatitis is Hepatitis B (80%) , most types of comorbidities were
cirrhosis of the liver (19.7%). The most use of intravenous fluids is NaCL
infusion fluid (63.1%) and the most drug use is Curcuma (15,2%)
