Abstract :
Presently there are many lifestyle changes in society that can trigger
high free radicals that enter the body. High free radicals cause various diseases.
Then it is necessary to use antioxidants to reduce it. Compounds that have
potential as antioxidants include flavonoids, tannins, terpenoids and phenolics.
One of the plants that contain these compounds is shameplant (Mimosa pudica
L.). The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant power of the juice
of shameplant?s leaves (Mimosa pudica L.). Testing the strength of these
antioxidants using the FRAP method to measure antioxidant activity. The test is
carried out by preparing samples and adding FRAP reagents and then absorbance
are measured using Uv-Vis spectrophotometry. The results obtained by the
antioxidant power of the juice of shameplant?s leaves by 0,0737% AAE
