Abstract :
Heart failure is the inability of the heart to pump blood to meet oxygen demand
and provide nutrition for body tissues. This study aims to determine the description of the
treatment of heart failure patients including the characteristics of age, sex, patient right, right medication and the right dose at the hospital in Klaten Islamic Hospital in 2019. This study is a non-experimental study with descriptive research design. This sampling
technique is purposive sampling where populations that meet the inclusion criteria are
taken as samples. Data was collected retrospectively based on the medical records of
heart failure patients with comorbid hypertension. The patient population in the hospital
in 2019 was 394 patients. The research sample according to the Slovin formula of 80
patients. The results were analyzed descriptively including the characteristics of age, sex, right patient, right medication and the right dose of hospitalization in Klaten Islamic
Hospital in 2019 according to the Heart Failure Management Guidelines (PERKI) 2015. The results of the age group age study ? 70 years with 30 cases or by 45%, the sex
showed the highest incidence was women with 46 cases (57.5%), the right percentage of
225 drugs (98.7%) and the wrong dose of 3 drugs (1.3%), the right percentage of patients
227 drugs (99.5%) and incorrect patients 1 drug (0.5%), the right percentage of drug 228
drugs (100%)
