Abstract :
Diarrhea is an endemic disease in Indonesia and is also a potential Extraordinary
Disease (KLB). In 2017 there were 21 outbreaks of diarrhea spread across 12 provinces,
17 districts / cities. Self-medication is a treatment that is experienced from all complaints
to yourself with simple medicines that are bought freely in pharmacies or drug stores on
their own initiative without a prescription from a doctor and self-medication is also the
most common effort made by the community to overcome complaints or symptoms of the
disease. The purpose of this case study is to find out the Picture of Mother's Knowledge
about Swamedication of Diarrhea in Children. Research methods The author uses
descriptive observational. Descriptive observational, while the process of analyzing data
using methods of editing, scoring, entry, cleaning. Nursing action taken is to use a
questionnaire assessment for knowledge with levels that are categorized as good,
sufficient and lacking. The results found that the majority of maternal knowledge is in the
sufficient category that is as much as 44 (51.76%).
