Abstract :
Hepatitis B is a dangerous infectious disease. Drug selection for patients is very
influential for healing hepatitis B patients. Selection of the right drug can predict
the success of treatment because it can help follow-up treatment. Sampling in this
study uses a saturated sampling technique. This study aims to determine the
description of the use of drugs in the treatment of hepatitis B patients in the
Karanganyar District General Hospital. The study is a descriptive non-analytical
retrospective with the source of research data is inpatient medical records of
hepatitis B patients in Karanganyar District Hospital in 2018. The time of the
study was in November 2019 - December 2019. The study was conducted by
calculating the percentage of characteristics of hepatitis B patients consisting of
hepatitis B patients the percentage of the patient's age and the percentage of the
patient's sex then calculates the treatment pattern in hepatitis B patients which
includes the type of drug and the amount used. Based on the analysis it is known
that hepatitis B patients the use of drugs in hepatitis B patients in Karanganyar
District Hospital in the year 2018 there are 12 types of therapeutic classes, with
the most use, namely the use of gastrointestinal drug classes 28.64% with the
most drug use of omeprazole 10.19%; the use of the hepatoprotector drug class
24.27% with the most drug use curbuma 9.71%; use of supportive fluid group
8.74% with the most use of drug Ringer lactate 7.77%; 8.73% diuretic use with
the most drug use is 4.85% furosemide; analgesic use 8.25% with the most use of
drugs santagesik (metamizole) 4.35%.
