Abstract :
Shy princess leaves are leaves that have specific characteristics if touched, the leaves will close and will reopen after some time. In the shame princess leaves contain chemical compounds that can be used as herbal medicines. The purpose of this study was to determine the Comparison of Total Flavonoid Levels of Stew and Seduce Putri Shame (Mimosa pudica L.) Leaves with UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. The method used in determining the level of flavonoids is the Chang method. The identification of flavonoid compounds in the leaves of shame was carried out by the NaOH test which would produce a yellow color, concentrated H2SO4 which would produce a red or blackish brown color, a shinoda test that produced a red color. Total flavonoid levels from 4.1997 ppm QE stew with% KV 0.1306%.Total flavonoid levels from steeping leaves was 5.7576 ppm QE with% KV 0.3803%. One Way Anova test obtained a significant value of flavonoid levels of 0,000 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the total flavonoid levels of decoction and steeping of leaves of embarrassed princess leaves.
