Abstract :
Indonesia is a country rich in natural resources. Some plants can be used as
herbal medicines, one of which is the legeten leaves. Legetan leaves contain
flavonoid compounds. Flavonoids have antioxidant properties that acts as a free
radical scavenger and it contains a hydroxyl group. This study aims to determine
the presence or absence of flavonoid content and determine the total flavonoid
leaves contained in legetan leaf extract. Extraction is done using maceration
method with 70% ethanol solvent. Extract results are used for qualitative and
quantitative analysis.Quercetin used as a standard solution. Qualitative analisys
using TLC, Wilstater-Cyanidin method, and qualitative analisys using aqueous
NaOH. Quantitative analysis using Visible Spectrophotometry on a wavelength of
428.0 nm and operating time at the 15th minute. The results of qualitative test
showed that the extract was positive flavonoids. The average concentrations of
total flavonoids was 0,9148% extract with a variation coefficient value of 0,21%.
