Abstract :
Cananga flowers are known to contain flavonoid compounds that function as antioxidant,
antibacterial, and natural insectisides. The purpose of this study was to determine the total
flavonoids levels in cananga flower (Cananga odorata) ethanol extract samples using Uv Vis
spectrophotometry. The samples was extracted by maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent.
Based on result of qualitative test the samples proved to contain flavonoid compounds.
Determination of the content was carried out with a UV Vis spectrophotometry. The standard
solution used is quersetin and maximum wavelength of 428,5 is solution of cananga flower
(Cananga odorata) extracts that is 6 ppm, 8 ppm, 10 ppm, 12 ppm, and 14 ppm from the standard
solution of quercetin work. The results showed that the cananga flower ethanol extract had
flavonoid levels of 0,0466 % QE ±0,000289 which is calculated against quercetin
