Abstract :
Red grapes (Vitis vinifera L) is a plant that is easily found in various
places. Red grapes (Vitis vinifera L) contain flavonoid compounds that function
as antibacterials. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial
activity of the ethanol extract of 96% red grapes (Vitis vinifera L). This
antibacterial test used Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria and used ciprofloxacin
positive control and DMSO negative control with a concentration series of 12.5%,
25%, 50%, 100%. The results of this antibacterial test produced two zones, the
radical and irradiance zones. The radical zone is obtained from a concentration of
50% with an inhibition of 8.75 mm and a concentration of 100% with an
inhibition of 11 mm. Iradical zone obtained from a concentration of 12.5% with
an inhibition of 1.25 mm. concentration of 25% with 2 mm of inhibition.
concentration of 50% with an inhibition of 3.25 mm. concentration of 100% with
an inhibition of 3.75 mm.
