Abstract :
Blue Pea (Clitoria ternatea L.) contains flavonoid compounds which
have pharmacological effects, which is one of anti-inflammatory. In
previous studies, flower telang (Clitoria ternatea L.) was shown to have
anti-inflammatory effects. Transdermal patch is a form of drug delivery
system that is attached through the skin. This study aims to obtain the
optimum combination of HPMC and Na CMC formulas as polymers in
the transdermal formula patch of the ethanol extract of telang flower
(Clitoria ternatea L.). Transdermal patch combination of HPMC and Na
CMC was made with Software Design Expert version 11 of the method
Simplex Lattice Design and acceptability test. The evaluation of the
transdermal test for patch the ethanol extract of the telang flower
includes pH test, weight test, thickness test, folding test and moisture
content test, which is then verified by the SPSS program using the
method one sample t-test. The concentration of the optimum formula for
the combination of HPMC : Na CMC as a polymer with transdermal
preparations patch is in the ratio (3.5%: 1%) and has a desirability value
of 0.944,to verify the optimal formula for transdermal patches valid
results are obtained. The results of the acceptability test concluded that
the respondents were well accepted by the respondents.
