Abstract :
Hospital pharmacy installation are gradually making efforts to improve
health services that are more effective and efficient, so that availability of
medicines in sufficient quantities, guaranteed quality and affordable prices can be
realized. The availability of drugs in the service area has a considerable influence
on prescription services in hospital pharmacy installations. The aim of this study
was to determine the description of underserved prescriptions and the suitability
of the doctor's prescription writing for the formulary at Surakarta Islamic
Hospital during October-December 2019. This study uses a descriptive method
with a retrospective design involved data collection from the outpatient
recapitulation report at Surakarta Islamic Hospital during October-December
2019 obtained data of 997prescription sheets using total sampling technique. The
data is then analyzed based on the percentage value of the data collected, then
concluded descriptively to determine the prescription description served and the
suitability of prescription writing for hospital formulary. The results obtained an
average percentage of drugs served 92.43% so it can be concluded that thr
Pharmacy Installation of the Surakarta Islamic Hospital provides good service
with the number of recipes served. The average percentage of the suitability of
writing adoctor?s prescription to the formulary 96,96%, with the result of this
study showed the Surakarta Islamic Hospital was able to maintain the quality os
service.
