Abstract :
Knowledge is a result of curiosity through sensory processes, especially in
the eyes and ears for certain objects.public knowledge in dealing with the
COVID-19 pandemic is very important to be able to reduce th risk of contracting
betwee fellow citizens. Good knowledge will also influence good attitudes and
behavior to increase public awareness of the risk of COVID-19 infection. This
study aims to determine public knowledge about COVID-19 in Dukuh Tegalrejo
Mancasan Baki Sukoharjo. This research is a non experimental study with a
descriptive survey design. The sample amounted to 84 people. Respondents'
knowledge data were collected using a questionnaire with a total number of
questions as many as 9 items that have been tested for validity with Pearson
correlation and reliability test with Alpha Cronbach which were then analyzed
using SPSS 16 . The results showed that the respondents' knowledge about
COVID-19 was in a good category, namely as many as 64 respondents (76.2%).
Respondents with sufficient knowledge were 16 people (19%), and respondents
with insufficient knowledge were 4 people (4.8%). The conclusion from this
study, the description of public knowledge about COVID-19 in Dukuh Tegalrejo,
Desa Mancasan Kecamatan Baki Kabupaten Sukoharjo is good.
