Abstract :
Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a
new type of Coronavirus that appeared at the end of 2019 for the first time in
Wuhan, China and was finally designated as a Pandemic on March 11, 2020. A
new type of coronavirus is known to cause respiratory tract infections in humans
ranging from coughs and colds to causing severe symptoms such as Middle East
Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
Research This aims to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes of the
community towards the prevention of COVID-19 in Donoharjo Hamlet, Wuryorejo
Village, Wonogiri District, Wonogiri Regency. The research method used is
descriptive qualitative method. The research instrument used a questionnaire with
14 questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. The sample used was
251 respondents from a total population of 672. The level of public knowledge can
be categorized as sufficient, of the 251 respondents who have good knowledge,
namely 44 people (17.5%), who have sufficient knowledge, namely 169 people
(67.3%), and 38 people (15.1%) had less knowledge. The attitude of the community
can be categorized as having a good attitude (83.4%).
