Abstract :
The Coronavirus outbreak 2019 or COVID-19, which is known to cause
acute respiratory syndrome, spreads very quickly and results in high mortality
rates in various countries in the world including Indonesia. Since it was declared a
global pandemic on March 11, 2020, various efforts have been made to break the
chain of the spread of COVID-19. Pharmaceutical Technical Personnel (TTK) are
at the forefront of health care facilities taking part in efforts to tackle the spread of
COVID-19. Adequate knowledge regarding the COVID-19 disease among
Pharmaceutical Technical Workers is very important in order to protect
themselves against the risk of exposure to the virus and be able to provide
appropriate information, education and counseling about efforts to prevent and
transmit COVID-19 to the public. This study aims to describe the knowledge of
Pharmacy Technical Workers about COVID-19 in Karanganyar Regency. This
type of research is quantitative with a survey design on 85 TTK who work in
pharmacies Karanganyar Regency through purposive sampling. Collecting data
using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results
of the study showed that pharmaceutical technical personnel at the pharmacy in
the Karanganyar regency were 52.94%, 17-25 years old, 97.65% female, 52.94%
educational level at DIII Pharmacy and 60% of the length of time working with
<5 60%. The knowledge level of TTK pharmacies in Karananyar about COVID19 was 70.59% in the good category and 29.41% in the poor category. Therefore,
it is necessary to have efforts from PAFI Karanganyar to conduct socialization
and other coaching activities to increase knowledge level of TTK pharmacies in
Karanganyar.
