Abstract :
Covid-19 is a new disease caused by a new type of virus from Wuhan, China. This
disease is still endemic in almost all over the world. The spread of this virus is very
fast and is global in nature with a high mortality rate. One way to reduce the spread
of the virus is to increase endurance. One way is to take additional antioxidant
supplements. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a
relationship between patient characteristics and the use of antioxidants as an effort
to prevent Covid-19 at Rafi Farma drugstore, Cepogo, Boyolali. This research
method is descriptive with a cross sectional approach. Data were collected by means
of purposive sampling. Collecting data using a questionnaire and Google Form and
processed using the SPSS 20.0 For Windows application. The results of this study
indicate that there is no relationship between patient characteristics and the use of
antioxidants including gender p value = 0.141, at ? = 0.05 (p> ?), age p value =
0.088, at ? = 0.05 (p> ?), job p value = 0.433, at ? = 0.05 (p> ?) education level p
value = 0.760, at ? = 0.05 (p> ?). The conclusion is that there is no significant
relationship between patient characteristics including gender, age, occupation, and
education level with the use of antioxidants as an effort to prevent Covid-19 at Rafi
Farma Pharmacy, Cepogo, Boyolali.
