Abstract :
Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) worms are infectious worms through the
ground. Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) worms are at risk of infection workers
in contact with dirty land or environment. One of workers at risk are garbage
receivers at landfill. Therefore this study purpose to determine whether there is
garbage receiving officer at the Putri Cempo Surakarta landfill infected by the Soil
Transmitted Helminth (STH) worm.
This study used a descriptive observational research design with
accidental sampling technique and using feces samples garbage receiving officer.
Primary data was taken from the examination results Soil Transmitted Helminth
(STH) eggs in feces using the indirect feces method precipitation of formalin
ether. The research data were analyzed using data analysis technique Descriptive
statistic.
The results of the study from 10 respondents garbage receiving officer
who were willing to fill out the informed consent, 2 positive feces samples found
Hook worm eggs type C. It can be concluded that there are 2 (20%) of the 10
respondents garbage receiving officer at the Putri Cempo Surakarta landfill
infected Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) which was indicated by the finding of
Hook worm eggs type C in the sample.
