Abstract :
Self-healing is a community effort to maintain its own health. In its
implementation, self-medication can be a source of drug problems due to limited
knowledge of the drug and its use. The goal is to know the patient's level of
knowledge in the use of gout drugs. This research uses simple random sampling
methods. The sample is a patient who buys uric acid drugs at Apotek Intan Farma
Sragen, as many as 100 respondents involved in this study. Data retrieval is
conducted through the filling of questionnaires that have tested validity and
reliability. The validity test results show R Count 0.935 greater than R table 0.443
so that it is declared valid and can be used as a research instrument. Reliability
test results show that the alpha value of Cronbach's of 0.936 is greater than 0.60
so it is considered reliable. The patient's level of knowledge of uric acid is
analyzed by using good, insufficient and less category parameters. The results
showed that the characteristics of respondents were based on gender, age,
education and occupation. Outlined descriptively in the form of tables and
obtained data that the gender of well-knowledgeable women is 53%, aged 41-50
years knowledgeable good 39%, high school education is well-rounded 42%,
good knowledgeable entrepreneurial work 35%. The conclusion of this study that
the patient's level of knowledge on the self-prodication of uric acid disease
generally showed that as much as 78% is good, 19% enough, 3% less. Specifically
showed the patient's knowledge level related to the definition of a 71% selffinancing, the logo of the Medicines 94% good, the disease knowledge 79.6%
good, drug indications 96% good, the regulation of the drug is 81% good, the side
effects of the drug is 83% good and the drug storage rules 85% good. And the
average outcome of knowledge levels of patients is categorized well.
