Abstract :
Amphetamines are drugs with stimulant effects, which function to increase
dopamine levels in the brain. Amphetamines are drugs that are taken orally.
Amphetamines are available as conventional tablets and delayed release
capsule.The purpose of this study was to determine the presence or absence of
amphetamine in the urine of bus drivers in Surakarta city.
This type of research is a descriptive study, as an initial screening for
amphetamine examination. Amphetamines are abused because they have a euphoric
effect, increase one's mood and self-confidence. This test strip is used because it is
an easy and effective method to do. The sample used is 10 samples of bus drivers
which are expected to represent the many bus drivers in Surakarta city at Titonadi
Terminal to be exact, obtained by random sampling technique.
The research was conducted in March 2021 at the Tirton Terminal at the
western entrance. Samples were taken from the bus in the city of Surakarta at
Tirtonadi Terminal as many as 10 samples with quota sampling technique.
Screening test for amphetamines on 10 urine samples of bus drivers in the city at
Tirtonadi Terminal which were examined showed negative results.
Urine samples which were tested found negative and did not contain
amphetamines.
