Abstract :
Drinkers in Indonesia are increasing, based on data from the Central Statistics
Agency for 2019 in Indonesia, showing that alcohol consumption by people aged
>15 years in the last year in urban and rural areas was 0.41%. This will impair
kidney function by increasing creatinine levels in the blood. This study aims to
determine the description of creatinine levels in men who drink alcohol in
Demangan Village, Karanganyar Regency.
This study was a descriptive study with 30 blood samples of male alcohol drinkers
in Demangan Village, Karanganyar Regency who signed the informed consent. The
sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Creatinine levels in this blood
sample was checked with a Clima Mc15 Photometer at the National STIKes
Clinical Chemistry Laboratory.
The results of this study showed that from 30 blood samples examined, the results
of creatinine levels in men who drank alcohol in Demangan Village, Karanganyar
Regency were more than normal as many as 8 people and within normal limits as
many as 22 people. Creatinine levels based on age 21-60 years were 8 people with
8 people drinking 1 bottle of alcohol, 7 people drinking alcohol >3x a week,
drinking alcohol duration >5 years as many as 8 people, 7 people doing heavy
physical activity, and who consume meat as much as 3 people with more than
normal results. The highest proportion of creatinine increase was found based on
the volume and duration of drinking alcohol.
The conclusion of this study was that most men based on alcohol consumption in
Demangan Village, Karanganyar Regency have normal creatinine levels.
