Abstract :
Uric acid are checked to confirm the diagnosis, checkup, evaluation and
one of the routine health checks carried out. Uric acid levels check is usually carried
out in clinical pathology laboratories using the Auto Chemistry Analyzer method and
a more practical method, namely the POCT method. This POCT tool is still often
used because the results are faster. On this basis, researchers are interested in
comparing serum uric acid levels using POCT and Auto Chemistry Analyzer. The
purpose of this study was to determine the difference in serum uric acid levels of
POCT and Auto Chemistry Analyzer.
This research was conducted on 40 samples of employees of PKU
Muhammadiyah Wonogiri Hospital. The sample is venous blood, the research design
used in this study is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. The data
is presented in tabulated form, then statistically analyzed using statistical programs
for social science (SPSS), after the data is collected, the distribution normality will
be tested with the Shapiro-wilk test and followed by the one sample T-Test.
The results of the study based on the output of the one sample T-Test test
showed that the POCT p-value was 0.000 and the p-value of the Auto Chemistry
Analyzer was 0.000 where the p-value was <0.05, which means that there is a
significant difference in the results of measuring uric acid levels using the POCT tool
and the Auto Chemistry Analyzer
The conclusion of the study is that there is a significant difference in the
examination of uric acid levels using the POCT tool and the Auto Chemistry
Analyzer with a p value of 0.0000, value (p <0.05).
